The Parsons Avenue Redevelopment Corporation (PARC) is a not-for-profit corporation that was created to catalyze economic development on Parsons Avenue between Livingston Avenue and State Route 104. PARC has contracted with ARCH CITY DEVELOPMENT to provide staffing and technical assistance to the organization.

PARC’s most significant development project was the acquisition and closing of the adult bookstore that was at 677 Parsons. Working with Sidestreet Development on the revitalization of the entire block, 677 Parsons is now Comune, a vegetarian restaurant.

PARC also acquired and shut down a drive-through carry-out at 945 Parsons, then renovated the building on behalf of All People’s Fresh Market. The market distributes fresh fruits and vegetables to people earning up to 200% of the poverty level.
